Chandigarh: The third anthropology colloquium entitled "A new Dental Scoring System for Human Evolution" was held at the Department of Anthropology, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, on Monday. Dr Varsha Pilbrow, Lecturer from the University of Melbourne, Australia, delivered the colloquium describing a dental system which would be of great help not only in studying the morphological variations in teeth of living, but also fossil apes and humans. Dr Pilbrow is working on techniques to trace the course of human evolution. TNS
