Chandigarh is all set to get direct connectivity with Patna as IndiGo has announced to operate a direct flight to and fro the Bihar capital from March 5.
Earlier, the airlines had decided to operate the flight, Airbus A-320, having a seating capacity of 180, from March 30.
The flight will take off from the Chandigarh international airport at 2.30 pm.
A spokesman for IndiGo said on March 5, they would also introduce a direct flight from the city to Lucknow. The flight will take off from the city at 6.10 am, he said.
The flight to Patna will operate six days a week.
IndiGo will also provide direct connectivity between Chennai and Chandigarh by operating a flight, 6E-8052/8053, arriving at 1.30 pm from Chennai and departing at 2 pm. The flight, which will be operated six days a week, will become operational from March 29.
According to IndiGo, the new flight from Chandigarh to Pune will be introduced on March 31. As per its schedule, the 6E-338 flight will take off from Pune at 11.35 pm and arrive in the city at 2.05 am. The IndiGo flight 6E-337 will depart from the city at 3.35 am and reach Pune at 6.05 am.
