Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Amarinder Raja Warring and Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa slammed the government for deteriorating law and order situation.

SAD leader Sukhbir Singh Badal held the AAP government responsible for the cold-blooded murder in full public view. “I condemn today’s incident, where assailants were not afraid to open fire at a tournament. I demand justice for the murder of all kabaddi players in such incidents,” he said.

Ashwani Sharma, working state president of the BJP, said, “Punjab has become so unsafe today that even a kabaddi ground is no longer spared from bullets. This incident is even more heartbreaking because Rana Balachauria had been married for only 10-15 days. This is not the first such incident. Earlier as well, kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal Ambian and Tejpal Singh of Jagraon were brutally murdered. Under Bhagwant Mann’s failed leadership and a remote-controlled government run from Delhi by Arvind Kejriwal, law and order in Punjab has completely collapsed. Criminals gangsters, killers, and shooters are roaming freely without fear, while the government remains busy with advertisements and false claims. From villages to cities, from streets to stadiums — Punjab today is gripped by fear. This is not ‘change’, this is gangland.”
