CHANDIGARH: The UT police have collected the footage of CCTV cameras installed outside a private school in Sector 9, which is opposite the house which was visited by the victim, Akansh Sen, nephew of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, on the day of incident.

The UT police have collected the footage of CCTV cameras installed outside a private school in Sector 9, which is opposite the house which was visited by the victim, Akansh Sen, nephew of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, on the day of incident. Police teams, meanwhile, continued with their raids.

Akansh (28) was run over by a BMW car in Sector 9 on February 9. According to the police, the accused, Balraj Singh Randhawa, a resident of Sector 77, Sohana, Mohali, was allegedly driving the BMW while Harmehtab Singh, a resident of Radewala Farm, Landran, Mohali, was sitting next to him when the incident took place.

Police sources said they had procured the footage of the CCTV cameras installed at the school gate which was opposite the house where the incident took place. “The footage is being scrutinised by the police,” the sources said. Police teams, meanwhile, also conducted raids in Punjab. Police officials said both accused were still at large and the BMW car had also not been recovered.
