The man who allegedly molested a girl at a nightclub last week has been identified by the UT police. The suspect is a native of Rohtak in Haryana.
The 24-year-old victim, who had gone to a party along with her friends, had alleged that two persons misbehaved with her during a party at the club, Paara, in the Industrial Area, Phase I, on the intervening night of June 21 and 22. One of the suspects touched her after which the matter was reported to the police.
The police said the CCTV footage was scrutinised and the suspect identified as Manjit. Sources said he was married and had two children. A police team raided the suspect’s house. However, he was not there. The police said the call detail records of the suspect would be scrutinised.
