Mohali: Twelve persons succumbed to the virus in the district during the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 622.
In a major relief to the health authorities, the district witnessed almost a 50 per cent decline in fresh cases as only 534 persons were diagnosed with the disease, while 1,042 more patients were cured. Of the 49,085 cases reported so far, 39,750 patients have been cured. There are 8,713 active cases in the district. — TNS
