Covid-19: Panchkula sees one death, 27 cases

The district today reported 27 fresh cases of Covid, taking the tally to 8,049.

Among the fresh cases, seven were from Sector 15, five from Sector 12-A, two each from Pinjore, Sector 24 and Sector 7 and one each from Amravati Enclave, ITBP, Kalka, Ramgarh, Sector 11, Sector 14, Sector 16 and Sector 9.

The district also witnessed one death due to the virus.

A 68-year-old man from Pinjore, who was suffering from hypertension and diabetes, succumbed to the disease. The district Covid toll now stands at 120.

While 7,566 patients have defeated the virus so far, 363 cases are still active.

The district’s recovery rate is 93.9 per cent. — TNS
