Dance bonanza: Kathak exponents enthral

CHANDIGARH: The NA Cultural Society and the Haryana Kala Parishad presented a series of kathak dances by several groups —Shivranjani, Swadha, Chander Kala, Tarana — in a dance bonanza, ‘Arpan’, at Bal Bhawan here today.

Chandigarh, May 25

The NA Cultural Society and the Haryana Kala Parishad presented a series of kathak dances by several groups —Shivranjani, Swadha, Chander Kala, Tarana — in a dance bonanza, ‘Arpan’, at Bal Bhawan here today.

Prodigious Divita commenced the programme before well-known danseuse Nikhar presented a solo. Another incredible spell came from Divyangna, Sghandhim, Shambvi, Sidak and Bhuvi from the Shivranjani dance group — choreographed by Dr Jaswinder Kaur.

The guests of honour was Kamal Arora, Chairman, CSNA. Anita Kaushal, Principal, GCG, released a book authored by Dr Mansi Saxena. — OC
