The UT police today scrutinised the footage of CCTV cameras installed in Sector 28 and 29 to identify the suspect who had shot at a Home Guards volunteer on Tuesday.

The police said the footage installed in the market and residential areas was scrutinised. Meanwhile, a few suspects were called to the police station for verification.

The cops also visited the crime spot to look for the empty shell, but could not find it.

The volunteer, Parkash Singh Negi (40), was shot at by a robbery suspect on the road from the Tribune chowk to the Transport light point. He, along with a constable, was patrolling in search of the suspect.
