DC Montessori cagers start off with a win

CHANDIGARH:DC Montessori School, Mani Majra, registered a 27-9 win over Delhi Public School, Sangrur, in the opening match of the boys’ U-17 category on the inaugural day of the CBSE Cluster XVII Basketball Tournament at PML SD Public School, Sector 32, here today.

Chandigarh, October 11

DC Montessori School, Mani Majra, registered a 27-9 win over Delhi Public School, Sangrur, in the opening match of the boys’ U-17 category on the inaugural day of the CBSE Cluster XVII Basketball Tournament at PML SD Public School, Sector 32, here today.

Holy Angel School, Muktsar, drubbed Pepsu International School, Patiala, 23-2, while hosts PML SD Public School thrashed Gem Public School, Mohali, 33-8 in their campaign opener. Inderjeet (16 points) was the top scorer for the hosts.

In the last match of the day, Shubham scored 22 points as Chitkara international School, Sector 25, thumped Vivek High School, Mohali, 69-14.

More than 85 teams from various schools in Punjab and Chandigarh are participating in the championship.
