Chandigarh: The Department of Hindi, PU, organised the KK Grover and AC Bali Declamation Competition on Friday. A total of 31 students from various colleges and university departments participated in the event. In the KK Grover Declamation Contest, Priyanka Thakur from PGGCG, Sector 11, bagged the first position; Bhoomika from the UILS, PU, stood second; and Mayank from the Department of Hindi bagged the third position. In the AC Bali Declamation Contest, Hirak Singh Kaushal from DAV College, Sector 10, stood first; Ravitej Singh Brar from the Department of Urdu stood second; and Ashta Bothra from the PGGCG-11 bagged the third position. Chandigarh: The Centre for IAS and other Competitive Examinations, Panjab University, will start a fresh batch of coaching classes for UGC-NET (Paper-I) examination from March 25. The last date for submission of applications form is March 24 till 5 pm. There are a few seats left in the batch for coaching of PCS (Judicial) which will start from March 2. Chandigarh: A session to mark National Science Day, under the Mission Innovate Punjab, was held on the second day of the Prof RC Paul National Symposium (RCPNS) 2020, with the theme ‘Women in Science’, at the Department of Chemistry, PU, here on Friday. The symposium was a unique platform for sharing new ideas in chemistry that can improve the life of a common person.
