Delhi’s Sarthak in next round of CLTA tourney

Second seed Delhi’s Sarthak Sudan defeated Deep Munim of Madhya Pradesh in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 to move into the men’s quarterfinals during the ongoing CLTA-AITA National Ranking Tennis Championship at the Sector 10 CLTA Complex.

Vatsal Manikantan of Tamil Nadu defeated Delhi’s Aditya Kothari 6-3, 6-0. Haryana’s Jatin Nain defeated fifth seed Vansh Nandal 6-3, 6-4 and third seed Delhi’s Moksh Puri defeated Svarmanyu Singh 6-0, 7-5. Maharashtra’s Omar Rehan Sumar defeated Delhi’s Mayank Sharma 6-3, 6-2 and Mukul Ramanan of Tamil Nadu defeated Haryana’s Arntya Ohlyan 6-4, 6-4. Dalwinder Singh ousted Lokesh Pun 6-2, 6-2 and Yash Yadav was playing against Tirth Mayur Doshi 6-2, 4-6, 3-2, when the latter conceded the match.

In the women’s category, Jasmine Rawat defeated Anjali Dalal 6-3, 6-1 and Rajasthan’s Suhani Gaur recorded a comeback 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Shagun Kumari. Saily Prashant Kumar Thakkar defeated Reet Arora 6-7(2), 6-0, 6-4 and Jaya Kapoor ousted Ayushi Tanwar 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in some hard fought matches.

Divya Bhardwaj defeated Jeetesh Kumari 6-2, 6-4, Vidula Amar ousted Himanshika Singh 6-4, 6-2 and Jigyasa Narsinghani recorded a comeback 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 win over Soni Prupati. Rutuparna Choudhary defeated Ruma Ashutosh Gaikaiwari 7-6(6), 7-5.
