Two local men kabaddi teams lost their respective matches during the All India Civil Services Kabaddi Tournament, being organised by the UT Department of Sports, under the aegis of the Central Civil Services Cultural & Sports Board, at the Sector 42 Sports Complex.
In the first match, Chandigarh Secretariat went down against Uttar Pradesh Secretariat by a narrow margin of four points (38-42), and in the other, Regional Sports Board (RSB), Hyderabad, defeated RSB Chandigarh 26–8.
In other matches, Central Secretariat defeated Haryana Secretariat 41–30, while RSB Hyderabad logged a 42-34 win over Karnataka Secretariat. RSB Kolkata posted a 33-18 win over Goa, and RSB Mumbai defeated RSB Kanpur 14–9.
RSB Chennai won their third match of the event by defeating RSB Dehradun 25–13, and Bihar Secretariat outplayed Uttarakhand Secretariat 55–35. Chhattisgarh Secretariat marched ahead with a 44-12 win over Puducherry Secretariat, and after facing defeat in their day’s opening encounter, Uttarakhand Secretariat defeated Madhya Pradesh Secretariat 40–18.
In the women’s event, Haryana Secretariat thrashed RSB Dehradun with a 35–2 verdict and Rajasthan Secretariat won two matches by defeating Madhya Pradesh Secretariat 34–25 and RSB Mumbai 39–35. Government of Maharashtra defeated Karnataka Secretariat 31–3, followed by a 28-15 win over NCT Delhi. Bihar Secretariat defeated opening match winner Haryana Secretariat 59-35, followed by a 21-1 win over Gujarat Secretariat.
