MOHALI: A dummy pistol was stolen from the hand of a statue of Shaheed Udham Singh late last night.

Mohali, July 16

A dummy pistol was stolen from the hand of a statue of Shaheed Udham Singh late last night. The statue has been set up in the open at ‘Sikh Ajaib Ghar’ (museum) at Balongi village here.

According to sources, the incident took place yesterday midnight. “CCTV footage showed that some person broke the hand of the statue and took away the dummy pistol,” said the sources.

“It could be a mischief, but the incident is shameful as it hurts our patriotic sentiments,” said localities.
