Elevator inaugurated

Panjab University Vice-Chancellor Raj Kumar inaugurated an elevator on Saturday at the block 2 of UIET. Senator Parveen Goyal said the elevator had been made functional with the efforts of the Vice-Chancellor in a record time despite several hurdles. Prof Raj Kumar motivated teachers of UIET to give their best for development of UIET and assured all possible help from his side.

Tree plantation & cleanliness drive

The girls' hostel number 3 organised a tree plantation and cleanliness drive with the NSS volunteers, GH3 residents and staff. With an objective to contribute in preserving and promoting the environment, three saplings were planted.

Aryan College students excel

Students of Aryans College of Pharmacy brought laurels by giving their excellent performance in the final examinations. In B Pharmacy, Ankit Singh (Kangra) bagged the 1st position, Ekta Wadhera (Patiala) 2nd and Rahul Singh (Assam) bagged the 3rd position in their VIIth semester exams.

Design patent granted

'Drone for Surveillance' a unique innovation developed by two students-Ankit Singh and Saeed Bhatia-of Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, has been granted the design patent by the office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks. The achievement adds yet another feather in the cap of the institution with its 900-plus filed patents, ranks 5th, in the top 10 Indian applicants for filing patents from academic institutions and universities.
