Chandigarh, October 16

Crowd to witness Ramlila is growing day by day. At present, it is being staged in the city by six committees only. In the coming days, the number is set to increase, although it is certain that it will be considerably lower than last year.

Around 150 spectators gathered at the Sector 7 ground today to watch the epic tale.

Navyug Ramlila and Dasehra Committee had been staging Ramlila here for the past two days.

The real action begins tomorrow, on the first day of Navratras, with Sita Swayamvara.

Director Pradeep Kumar said: “We have made elaborate arrangements keeping the pandemic in mind. People are only allowed to sit on chairs, which have been kept at a suitable distance. The ground is being sanitised from time to time and artistes too are taking precautions. Spectators are being allowed with masks only and they are also thermally scanned at the entrance.” — TNS
