Ex-employee arrested for assaulting media adviser

PANCHKULA: The police have arrested a person for assaulting the media adviser posted in the Directorate of Horticulture on August 22.

The police have arrested a person for assaulting the media adviser posted in the Directorate of Horticulture on August 22.

The suspect has been identified as Paramjit, a former employee of the Horticulture Department.

Sector 21 police chowki in-charge Pardeep Kumar and Investigating Officer ASI Gurmeet Singh arrested the suspect who would be produced before a court on Monday.

According to information, Paramjit, along with three accomplices, assaulted the media adviser, Deepak Kumar, while he was returning home at 5.30 pm on August 22.

Paramjit, who was carrying a wooden stick in his hand, assaulted the victim brutally. At the time of the attack, Paramjit told Deepak that he was removed from the job of the department because to him and he would not spare him.

However, when Deepak raised his voice, the suspects fled from the spot. While fleeing, Paramjit had threatened Deepak that next time they would eliminate him.

The police said Paramjit, who was working on the post of assistant, was removed from the service on July 22.
