Chandigarh: Prof Ram Lal Gupta, who served the University Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, PU, for over 33 years, left for his heavenly abode on Sunday. Former Dean of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Gupta was not only a dedicated teacher, but also a prolific researcher and experienced organiser of pharmaceutical conferences. He has been the Founder-Director Principal of ASBASJS Memorial College of Pharmacy at Bela, Ropar, too, which he served after his superannuation from Panjab University for about 16 years. Meet on rights of children
Chandigarh: The Centre for Social Work, PU, in collaboration with the Chandigarh Commission for the Protection of Child Rights and State Legal Service Authority, Chandigarh, hosted a seminar on ‘Child Friendly Cities: Special Focus on Rights of Children: Social Work Intervention’. The chief guest Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson, Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights, discussed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and talked about the four basic rights of children.
