Father held for molestation

A drive to make children aware of bad touch by the district police have landed a father in the police net. After one such awareness camp at a local school in the area, a girl alleged sexual harassment by her father.

Chamkaur Sahib Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) said a girl informed her teachers that her father used to misbehave with her elder sister. Following this, the victim was contacted, who alleged that her father was compelling her to make sexual relations with him for the past two years. “The wife of the accused has already left him,” said the DSP

The police have registered a case under Section 354-A of the police and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
