Dass and Brown Experiential Learning School (DBELS) organised a “Veer Samman Samaroh” on the occasion of the Army Day and the Veterans Day to honour military officers and soldiers.

During the event, former Army officers were felicitated and Rakshak Academic and Admission Facilitation Cell (RAAFAC) was formally launched for the defence families.

Principal Anju Mehta said the school honoured Lt Col Rajeev Sharma, Col Michael James, Col Ashish Bedi, Col Avnish Sharma, Col Rajinder Singh Gadhok, Col Daljeet Singh Cheema and Col APS Sidhu on the occasion. She said through the RAAFAC initiative, DBELS would provide scholarships, priority admissions, support for mid-session transfers and academic guidance to children of serving Army personnel, veterans, Veer Naris and gallantry award winners.

Educationist and group CEO Dr Anirudh Gupta said providing quality education to children of soldiers was a collective responsibility of society, and the RAAFAC was a step in that direction.
