Dera Bassi: Five booked for assault on ex-serviceman

The police have booked five persons involved in the alleged assault on an ex-serviceman over a minor issue near VIP Enclave in Dera Bassi on February 3.

The victim, Sanatan Gupta, had reported that he had gently asked children playing near his house to get aside, after which a heated argument ensued. Two days later, the kin of those children assaulted him near VIP Enclave, he alleged.

A case has been registered at the Dera Bassi police station on the basis of the complaint filed by the victim. Further investigation into the case is going on, said Dera Bassi Station House Officer Sumit Mor.
