Gambling racket busted in Punjab's Zirakpur, 16 held
Punjab Police have busted a gambling racket in Zirakpur with arrest of 16 persons from a hotel, officials said on Wednesday.
In a post on X, Punjab Police stated that following a tip-off, a gambling racket was busted at KC Royal Hotel in Zirakpur.
“During a meticulously planned raid, 16 persons, including hotel staff, were apprehended while engaged in gambling activities,” it said.

The police also recovered Rs 25.30 lakh, 13 mobile phones, and six cars from the spot.
A case against the accused has been registered under the Gambling Act at Zirakpur police station.
