Mohali, October 16
Gangster Baljit Chaudhary and his two accomplices - Gurpreet Singh, alias Pamma, and Vikas Kumar - arrested by the State Special Operation Cell of the Punjab Police were produced before a court here today.
The court extended the remand of Chaudhary for three days, while his accomplices were sent to judicial custody in the Sangrur jail. Earlier, the trio was on three-day police remand.
Gurcharan Singh, DSP, Counter Intelligence Wing, said during interrogation, Baljit admitted that chartered accountant Arun Sharma was recently killed in Kharar by a member of his gang. — TNS
