CHANDIGARH: A doctor at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing three women doctors at the hospital Emergency in an inebriated state.

A doctor at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing three women doctors at the hospital Emergency in an inebriated state.

According to the police, Dr Aniket Saini, a Senior Resident (Medicine), OPD, allegedly misbehaved with the women doctors at the Emergency on December 6.

The women doctors brought the matter to the knowledge of seniors, including the Director-Principal, GMCH. The hospital authorities then decided to inform the police about the incident and get an FIR registered against Dr Aniket.

A complaint was submitted by the office superintendent of the Director-Principal following which a case under Section 354 A (sexual harassment) and 354 B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe) of the IPC) was registered against the suspect at the Sector 34 police station.
