After winning the toss, Gujarat skipper Swapna Patel opted to bat. Openers Shaurya Prajapati and Dipanshu Gupta (20) started off on a shaky note by raising 35 runs, before the latter was caught by Yuvraaj Bhardwaj off Harshveer Singh. Thereafter, Jaanav Patel joined Prajapati and the duo further pushed the total by raising a 46-run partnership off 68 balls.
As the duo was looking solid on the crease, Ishant Rawat trapped Prajapati (47 off 71 balls, with six boundaries and one six). Vansh Shah then pushed Gujarat innings further with Patel with a 78-run partnership.
However, Gujarat’s proceedings halted as Yashjeet Singh accounted Shah (52 off 85 balls, with seven boundaries) and Patel (34 off 105 balls, with four boundaries) to reduce the side 164/4.
Thereafter, Rawat troubled Gujarat further by claiming Jayvardhansinh Chavda (19) and skipper Swapna (4). However, Aarav Kothari (87 off 135 balls, studded with 11 boundaries and one six) and Ridham Patel (26 off 55 balls, with four boundaries) raised an unbeaten 89-run partnership to push the total to 306/6 at the drawn of the stumps for the side.
Rawat (3/70) remained the pick of the bowlers, while Yashjeet (2/52) and Harshveer Singh (1/39) were the other two performers with the ball.
