Panchkula, October 17
Congress candidate Chander Mohan categorically stated that he was committed to getting the enhancement amount waived off for the people in the city, especially for sectors in the trans-Ghaggar area. This issue could have been long resolved if only the sitting BJP MLA, Gian Chand Gupta, had the willingness to do so, which he lacked, said Mohan.
Addressing a series of election meetings across the Panchkula constituency on Thursday, Chander Mohan also talked about his vision of establishing a fully-equipped film city in Panchkula, which he said would be an outlet for youths of the entire region to polish and express their talent and evolve on the big stage.
“Panchkula is my own city and problems here are my own problems. So, it is my ‘dharma’ to get these solved,” said Mohan.
He also met people of Jangad Sabha and Sai Aarti’s Aarti at Sector 8, and addressed a public meeting at the Sector 6 market. In the evening, he visited Saketari, Manav Colony, Sector 11 market, Chandimandir, Balmiki Basti Chandi Kotla, Rajiv Colony, Ashiana Colony, Ashiana Complex Sector 26 and 28.
