Hashish supplier from HP among 3 held in drug case
The police have arrested three persons in a drug case.
The suspects were identified as Amit Joshi, a resident of Chandigarh, Sumit Kumar Jaggi, a resident of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, and Ravindra Singh.
On February 12, the police had arrested Joshi after 1.167 kg of hashish was found in his vehicle during a routine search near Abhaypur village in Sector 19. In police custody, Joshi claimed that he had purchased the drug from Jaggi. Following this lead, the police arrested Sumit on February 14.
During his remand, Sumit claimed that he had obtained it from Ravindra, who, he alleged, illegally produced and suppled the drug in Kullu. On the basis of the information, the police arrested Ravindra on February 16.
The three suspects have been sent to judicial custody.
