Chandigarh, July 7

In a letter addressed to Panjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Raj Kumar, a non-political student organisation, Ambedkar Student Association (ASA), demanded a provision for correction in the online admission forms on Thursday.

The letter states: “We have received several calls from students who have filled admission forms wrongly and they visited university help desks for correction. If we go through the online portal guidelines, we can see that university made a provision for correcting the admission forms till July 13.”

“However, students are not satisfied with helpdesks — set up at Computer Centre, Single Window Inquiry, Evening Study Department and the DUI office. Also, executives of the online portal company are replying that there is no provision for correction and students should refill their admission forms,” reads the letter.

Sharing a screenshot of how students were asked to fill the forms again, as there was no provision of correction, each time they applied for admission online, the ASA wrote to the VC that students complained about the non-functioning of the helpline (18002332661).
