HIMCARE facility at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre

The Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, New Chandigarh, announced that it has empanelled with the Himachal Pradesh government under the Mukhya Mantri Himachal Health Care Scheme (HIMCARE).

The partnership aims to provide comprehensive and cashless cancer treatment services to the residents of Himachal Pradesh.

The empanelment will enable cancer patients from Himachal Pradesh to access advanced and affordable cancer care services at the Centre.

HIMCARE, a health insurance initiative under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, HP government, offers financial coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for cashless treatment.

Hospitals empanelled under Ayushman Bharat are also empanelled for HIMCARE, ensuring seamless treatment options for beneficiaries through an efficient online Transaction Management System (TMS).

The scheme also covers additional family members in case a family exceeds five members, with co-payment terms applied.

Dr Ashish Gulia, Director of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, said, "The hospital is now empanelled under the HIMCARE scheme. This partnership will allow patients from Himachal Pradesh to avail cashless cancer treatment at our hospital, ensuring that no one is deprived of essential medical care due to financial constraints."
