Indian hockey legend Brigadier Harcharan Singh (retd), the former left-winger from the 1975 Indian Hockey World Cup-winning squad, emphasised need to chronicle past achievements in the form books and literature to popularise the sport.

He launched a book “March of Glory”, co-authored by Errold D’Cruz and K Arumugam, today.

“I am delighted that the book has been published as we celebrate the centenary of hockey governance in our country as well as the golden jubilee of our epic victory in Kuala Lumpur,” said Harcharan, adding, “I understand this is the first-ever book on the historic World Cup victory. It’s fitting it comes as we celebrate its Golden Jubilee”.

Harcharan also went down memory lane and saluted the team for writing that wrote a glorious chapter for the Indian hockey.
