IAF man dies in road mishap

AMBALA: A man died while another sustained injuries after their bike was hit by a tractor-trailer near Dheen village last night.

A man died while another sustained injuries after their bike was hit by a tractor-trailer near Dheen village last night.

The deceased has been identified as P Lamani, while the injured person has been identified as Ajay Singh, a resident of Madhya Pradesh. Both belong to the Indian Air Force.

Corporal Ajay Singh, in his complaint to the police, stated that he along with Lamani was on their way from Haridwar to Ambala. When they reached near Dheen village around 10 pm, a tractor-trailer, which was coming from the opposite direction, collided head on with their bike. While Lamani died due to head injuries, Ajay has sustained fractures in both legs and right arm.

The tractor-trailer driver managed to flee from the spot. A case has been registered against the driver under Sections 279, 337, 338 and 304A of the IPC at the Mullana police station.
