Continuing its drive against illegal structures, the Chandigarh Housing Board today demolished fresh unauthorised constructions in Sector 56 .The illegal structures were removed from house number 5548, 5618, 5919, 528 and 279.
Around a week ago, 14 structures were demolished in Sector 45 and Dadu Majra .The CHB issued notices to 41 owners of the houses to remove the structures. In many cases, most of the allottees have started removing the structures, but in a few cases, they have not stopped further constructions and their constructions have been demolished.
To ensure effective action against fresh illegal constructions, the CHB is adopting a zero-tolerance policy. The enforcement squad is making daily inspections in all sectors to identify fresh violations/alternations and effective action will be taken in each of such case.
