MOHALI:The police have booked the owner of an IT company and an HR official after a 30-year-old man, also said to be the worker of the firm, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at the Industrial Area in Phase 8 here.

The police have booked the owner of an IT company and an HR official after a 30-year-old man, also said to be the worker of the firm, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at the Industrial Area in Phase 8 here.

The victim has been identified as Reg Bahadur, alias Resham, a native of Nepal. He is said to have been working as a bus cleaner in the company. At present, he was residing at Mataur village with his wife and a five-year-old child.

According to the police, the victim hanged himself with an electric cable on the fourth floor of the company after reaching there around 8 am today.

The matter came to light when his colleague went upstairs to see the victim. After reaching the spot, the police recovered a suicide note from his pocket in which he reportedly held the owner and the HR official of the company responsible for his death.

Taking an action on the basis of the content of the suicide note, the police booked the owner and the HR official of the company under Section 306 of the IPC at the Phase 1 police station here.
