Fearing a second wave of Covid-19, the UT has decided to increase the number of vaccination facilities. Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, Health, said at present, the vaccination facility was available at 13 sites. “The facility will be extended to 16 sites,” he said. Gupta said soon, private hospitals would be approached and, if found suitable, the facility for vaccine would be created there on a payment basis. He said the Centre had introduced vaccination for people aged 60 and above and for those with comorbidities above the age of 45.
