Jainendra Public School, Panchkula, stood second in the district level inter-school football U-17 championship organised at St Soldier’s School. Amit Kumar, Anshaj Pandey, Aryaveer, Vivek Kumar and Piyush  Kumar were selected for the state level. Principal Saroj Sharma and vice-principal Poonam congratulated the winners. 

Shishu Niketan, Panchkula

Shishu Niketan Public School, Sector 5, Mansa Devi Complex, Panchkula, in association with the Haryana State Child Welfare Association organised a seminar on the topic “Empathetic behaviour is root of good parenting”. Anil Malik, Haryana state nodal officer, was the keynote speaker. The session was presided by Principal Ranjna Bakshi.  Parents shared their views and got their queries answered from a panel of psychologists.

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula 

Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, participated in an inter-school science competition ‘Antriksh manthan’ organised at RIMT World School, Mani Majra. Activities such as ‘Celestial walk’ (fancy dress competition), ‘Universe of dreams’ (shadow box-making), ‘Bonne publicite’ (the Mad Ads), ‘The Talking Heads’ (debate) and ‘Webzine’ (webpage designing for ISRO’s new centre) were organised. Shanaya Trehan of Class I, who wore a costume depicting Chandrayaan, bagged the first place in ‘Celestial Walk’. Principal Gulshan Kaur congratulated the winners.

Ashiana Public, Chandigarh

A weeklong Van Mahotsav concluded at Ashiana Public School, Sector 46-A, Chandigarh. Tiny tots planted various types of saplings and  medicinal plants, including neem, aloe vera and basil, among others. 

Doon International, Mohali

Doon International School, Sector 69, Mohali, organised an inter-school declamation contest. Ineshvir of Smart Wonder School, Kirat Kaur of Saupins School and Akshat Jain from Manav Mangal were announced as the winners in the category–I. Saumya Dubey of the host school stood first in category-II. Anurag Raina of St Soldier Senior Secondary School and Rishit Sharma from Smart Wonders School stood second and third, respectively. 

Sri Aurobindo, Chandigarh

Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education organised an Express Train competition. Class III to VIII students from 17 schools of tricity participated in the event which included written round, science lab round, computer lab round and other activities. In Category A (class III-IV), Gurukul Global School was adjudged the winner. RIMT World School and AKSIPS - 41 stood second and third, respectively. In Category B (class V-VI), Saupins School was declared the winner whereas Gurukul Global School and Chitkara International School ranked second and third, respectively. In Category C (class VII-VIII), Chitkara International School won the 1st prize. Manav Mangal High School, Sector 21, stood second and AKSIPS – 41, ranked third.
