Players born on or after January 1, 2004, and U-55kg will be eligible to participate in the event. The interested teams need to submit their entries before October 18. TNS

BTS skaters finish on top

Chandigarh: The Banyan Tree School (BTS) Club finished on top in the recently concluded Chandigarh State Sub-Junior Roller Hockey Championship (inline). In the final, BTS-A defeated BTS-B to win the gold medal. BTS skaters also won the silver and bronze medal in the girls’ sub-junior contest. In the cadet category, BTS boys claimed the gold medal, while girls finished with the silver. TNS

St Soldier’s win a nail-biter

Panchkula: Hosts St Soldier’s School defeated Chandigarh Baptist School by one run in a 10th Wing Commander SS Gyani Memorial Cricket Tournament match on Thursday. Batting first, St Soldier’s made 209/8 in 25 overs. Vansh Sharma hit a 41-ball 72. In reply, Baptist were restricted to 208/8. TNS
