Sources said the victim had reached Mohali yesterday. Family members alleged that the victim's weapon, mobile phone and a gold chain were missing after the incident.
The deceased is being linked with Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang only for dominance in kabaddi tournaments organisation. As of now, he has no role in Moosewala murder case, officials said.
Mohali SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans said, "Twelve police teams are on the job, with two teams in Delhi and Amritsar. There is no link of deceased Kanwar Digvijay Singh with Sidhu Moosewala's murder."
On opposition leaders’ claim of collapse in law and order situation, Hans said, "One incident of murder does not mean collapse in law and order situation. All previous cases have been solved. The Mohali police is known for its professional competence."
