Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mohali

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mohali, held the 27th NCSC-2019 of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan at the regional level of Chandigarh Region on its premises. Aspiring student scientists from 56 Kendriya Vidyalayas of Chandigarh Region participated in it. SAS Nagar SDM Jagdeep Sehgal, nominee chairman, Vidyalaya Management Committee, KV Mohali, was the chief guest at the event. Deputy Commissioner Dr P Devakumar was the guest of honour.  The theme of the event was ‘Science, Technology and Innovation for Clean, Green and Healthy Nation’. 

PML SD Public School, Chandigarh

Harish Kumar, HOD commerce of PML SD Public School, Chandigarh, has received an award of appreciation for 100 marks secured by his student Arushi Mahajan in Class XII accountancy in the CBSE examination 2019. He received the award from Commerce Teachers’ Foundation, New Delhi, at a felicitation ceremony ‘Abinandan 2019’ in New Delhi.

Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh

As part of value-based curriculum, students of Gurukul Global School of Class XI and XII visited Bal Sadan. They interacted with the children living there and distributed gifts and sweets among them.

GMSSS 8B, Chandigarh

GMSSS 8B, Chandigarh, has won third prize in the state folk dance competition held by SCERT under NPEP. The principal congratulated the team and motivated the students to keep participating in co-curricular activities.

Jesus Saviour’s School, Morinda

The annual day, Ebullience-2019, was held at Jesus Saviour’s School, Morinda, with zeal and enthusiasm. Morinda SDM Harbans Singh was the chief guest. Principal Merlin Johns presented the annual report. Curricular and co-curricular achievers were rewarded during the function.

Shemrock School, Mohali 

Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, Mohali, organised the founder’s week. Children of the junior section showcased  their talent and skills on the first Day. Tiny tots presented dance items. Students enraptured the audience with their rock and roll, folk dances and dance on nursery rhymes. Fairy tales were beautifully portrayed. 

Holy Heart School, Mauli Jagran

‘Know India’ competition was organised by Bharat Vikas Parishad, Manimajra, at GN Holy Heart Public (Smart) School, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh, in which 18 teams of government and non-government schools participated in senior and junior categories. 

Paragon Convent School, Chd

The health and environment club of Paragon Convent School, Sector 24-B, Chandigarh, organised a plastic-free drive in which students were informed about the ill effects of plastic. Students made cloth bags by using old clothes, decorative material and colours. 

MDAV School, Sector 22-A

The 10th Luxmi Arya Memorial Kho-Kho Tournament (Under 14 boys and girls) was organised on the premises of MDAV 22-A, Chandigarh. Surinder Mahajan, international badminton coach, was the chief guest at the event. On this occasion, students presented different physical activities in the form of yoga, dance and group songs.

Mount Litera Zee School, P’kula

Mount Litera Zee School, Panchkula, conducted a drive to raise awareness about cancer. A documentary was shown to the students regarding the causes of cancer and its prevention. A poster-making competition was organised. 

New India School, Panchkula

An awareness camp regarding NALSA (Child friendly legal services to children and their protection) Scheme 2015 was held at New India Senior Secondary School, Sector-15, Panchkula, by the District Legal Services Authority. CJM-cum-Secy, DLSA, Vivek Goyal, made the children aware of their rights and about the role, activities and functioning of the legal services institutions.
