Victim Vipin Kumar said he was on way to the bank to deposit cash after returning from the agency godown near Sandhu Palace at Pir Sohana village. His brother was following him on another bike. Just before the railway underbridge, two bikers blocked his way and tried to snatch the scooter’s keys. When they couldn’t, one of them pointed a pistol at him. He said his brother pushed the assailants when they tried to snatch the cash. The robber fired one shot in the air and another at his leg. They snatched his cash bag and fled towards Kharar.
