Learning Paths School, Mohali, has won the ‘Best School in Nurturing Creativity and Innovation 2018-19’ out of 110 schools at the National Round of Innoventure held at VIT, Pune.



Learning Paths School, Mohali, has won the ‘Best School in Nurturing Creativity and Innovation 2018-19’ out of 110 schools at the National Round of Innoventure held at VIT, Pune. The school has won the award for the second time in a row. Eleven students from the school qualified for the final round held at Pune. Shivesh Chaudhary, a Class V student, has made the school proud by attaining the first position in the nationals. 

Tribune Model, Chandigarh

Students of Tribune Model School, Sector 29-D, Chandigarh, were taken to the GMCH-32, Chandigarh, to attend their Annual Integrated Health Education-2019 programme. A team of MBBS students and doctors from the institute sensitised children to a variety of health issues. They shared preventive measures to control dog bite and cancer. 

Ryan International, Chandigarh

During the oratory club activity, students of Classes IV and V were guided about content, body language, audience type, calmness and eye contact. They were prepared for public speaking so as to foster their confidence for the upcoming speech competition. Students of Class III under the Gardening Club were shown cabbage grown in the garden area. 

MDAV, Chandigarh

The disaster club of MDAV School, Sector 22-A, Chandigarh, had organised a first-aid training and first-aid box making competition. Students enthusiastically participated in the programme and also used waste boxes and cardboard to make first-aid box. 

Aanchal International, Chandigarh

Aanchal International School, Chandigarh, organised an essay-writing competition on the topic, ‘Significance of cleaniness in today’s world’, for students of Classes VI to VIII. A story-telling competition (stories from Panchatantra) was conducted for junior students. 

Jesus Saviour’s, Morinda

Jesus Saviour’s School, Morinda, organised a cross country under the theme of ‘Anti-corruption’. Bawa Singh, ASI, Morinda, and Dhan Singh, and Head Constable (Traffic), Morinda, were the guests for the event. The chief guest presented trophies to the winners. 

Sri Guru Gobind Singh, Chandigarh

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School, Sector 35-B, Chandigarh, celebrated its annual Ardas. The programme began with Sukhmani Sahib paath, followed by shabad kirtan. After ardas, langar was served to the sangat. As many as 200 students were given merit certificates and scholarships for achieving significant positions in different fields. 

AKSIPS-125, Kharar

AKSIPS-125 Smart School, Kharar, conducted a quiz on freedom-fighters. The motto of the quiz was to throw light on real heroes of the country. Students took part in the quiz with enthusiasm. Principal Jagjit Sekhon appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students.

DPS, Chandigarh

Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, hosted a two-day CBSE regional science exhibition. Thirty-five schools participated and a total of 56 exhibits under various sub-themes were displayed. The main theme of the exhibition was ‘Scientific solutions for challenges in life’. The exhibition aimed at providing a common platform to various schools and students to exhibit their innovative ideas and enhance their interest in science and technology. Principal Reema Dewan welcomed the chief guest, RJ Khanderao, Regional Officer, CBSE, Panchkula. The winners will participate in the National Science Exhibition which will be held at Mayoor School in Noida.

Mount Litera, Panchkula

Mount Litera Zee School, Panchkula, celebrated its Founder’s Day with enthusiasm. The function began with the floral tribute to late Manoj Kumar Singla, father of Narender Singla in whose memory he founded the school under the Manoj Educational Welfare Society. This was followed by a cultural programme where students presented speeches, poems and songs. 

Saupin’s, Panchkula

Saupin’s School, Panchkula, hosted inter-house yoga competition for Classes I to V. Students performed various asanas. Satyam from Clover House emerged as a winner in the boys’ category, followed by Akshat of Sycamore House. Shrishti of Sycamore House won in the girls’ category, followed by Kanvi of Maple House.
