Lohri fervour grips schools, colleges

Lohri was celebrated with much enthusiasm at various schools and colleges in Chandigarh, Kharar and Jhanjeri.

Students of Shemrock Wonders, Kharar, danced on the beats of dhol. Principal Monica Gupta lit the bonfire and encouraged students to stay connected to their roots.

CGC, Jhanjeri, presented various cultural items such as folk songs, solo dances, solo songs, duet dances and ‘shayari’ to celebrate Lohri. 

Rayat-Bahra University and DAV -15, Chandigarh, also celebrated the festival. DAV Principal Anuja Sharma congratulated everyone on the occasion. 

Indo Global Group of Colleges, Abhipur, organised a colourful programme to celebrate Lohri. Children got an opportunity to showcase their talent. Indus Public School, Badala Road, also celebrated the festival with much fanfare. — OC
