The Chandigarh Pradesh Mahila Congress today held a candlelight march in protest against the rape and murder of a 27-year-old veterinarian in Hyderabad. The march was held at the Plaza in Sector 17 here.
Chandigarh Pradesh Congress president Pradeep Chhabra was also present on the occasion. Chhabra said the killers should be arrested and the case should be heard in fast-track court.
Chandigarh Women’s Congress president Deepa Dubey said the condition of women was getting worse during the present government. The government had failed to provide complete protection to women. Dubey said women were feeling helpless in their own country.
