A local court has acquitted a resident of Colony Number 4 arrested in a connection with an eight-year old theft case.

The police had registered the case on June 23, 2017, on the complaint of Monty resident of Ram Darbar, who had claimed that his bike had been stolen from the Industrial Area. During the investigation, the accused, Karan Chauhan, was arrested and a challan was filed in the court.

The accused’s counsel, argued that the he had been falsely implicated in the case.

After hearing the arguments, the court acquitted the accused and said that complainant, and the Investigating Officer have not been examined by the prosecution.
