Unidentified miscreants withdrew Rs 20,000 from a government teacher’s bank account at Khuda Lahora.

According to the police, the complainant, Ravi Kumar, reported that he had gone to an SBI ATM booth at Khuda Lahora to withdraw money on February 18. He alleged that the money could not be withdrawn from the machine, following which he left the place. The complainant stated that he was shocked when after 10 minutes he received a message that Rs 20,000 was withdrawn from his account from the same ATM.

The victim alleged that there were some persons standing outside the booth and he suspected that they withdrew money from his account.

Acting on the complaint, a case of cheating was registered at the Sarangpur police station yesterday.
