Mandeep wins tennis gold

Mandeep Kumar posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Sharan Veer Singh to win the men’s 30+ gold medal during the LD Kapoor Memorial Masters Total Tennis Prize Money Championship played in Sector 11 today.

Ashish Kapoor returned from a set down to defeat Gagan Vasu 3-6, 6-4, 6-0 and win the men’s 45+ final, while Pawan Kapoor won the men’s 55+ gold medal by defeating Vineet Peshawaria 6-0, 6-2. In the women’s 30+ singles final match, Vibha Choudhary easily humbled Suman Sangwan 6-0, 6-1.

The pair of Shubham Kamboj and Vikas Sheokand won the men’s 35+ doubles final by defeating Manoj Thakran and Pradeep Sharma 6-1, 6-2. In the men’s 45+ doubles gold medal match, Gagandeep Vasu and Ashish Kapoor ousted Shyam Jagat and Sukhveer Chahel 6-2, 6-4, whereas the pair of Vineet Peshawaria and Raghunit Bedi won the men’s 55+ doubles final by defeating Paramdeep Bajwa and SN Vashisht 6-1, 6-2. — TNS
