Chandigarh, January 17
The enforcement team of the Municipal Corporation (MC), Chandigarh, conducted checking of unauthorised construction going on in the 13 villages today. These villages had come under the jurisdiction of the MC recently.
The team conducted checking in all villages, including Bhelana, Khuda Ali Sher, Kishangarh, Dariya, Raipur Kalan, Raipur Khurd and Makhanmajra. During inspection construction of 56 houses was stopped. Tools of masons were seized from 33 houses, where construction was going on.
The team warned violators and local residents of all 13 villages to stop unauthorised construction of houses and shops immediately otherwise they would have to face legal course of action by the MC.
