The sharp fall in night temperatures widened the gap between day and night readings, an early sign of winter’s advance in the plains. Relative humidity in Chandigarh was recorded between 35% and 92%. There were no reports of rain in the Tricity region.

According to the India Meteorological Department’s forecast, mainly clear sky will persist over the next few days with minimum temperatures likely to hover between 7°C and 8°C and daytime highs around 26-28°C. Partly cloudy conditions are expected early next week.
