Met predicts wet weekend in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, March 1

The Meteorological Department has predicted generally cloudy conditions with likely thundery development or rain in the city this weekend.

The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 26.3 °C today, which is 1.9 degrees above normal. The minimum was 13.1 °C, 1.2 degrees above normal and 2.3 degrees more than the lowest temperature recorded yesterday.

According to forecast, the sky is likely to remain cloudy with chances of rain on Saturday and Sunday. The maximum temperature is likely to see a fall of around three notches. Similarly, the minimum temperature is likely to remain in the range of 10 °C-14 °C during the next five days. The department has forecast partly cloudy conditions for Monday and generally cloudy sky for Tuesday.
