Minerva Club log win over Corbett FC

Minerva Academy Football Club started their campaign with a convincing 3-1 win over Corbett Football Club (FC) in the AIFF Elite Youth League encounter in New Delhi today.

Minerva asserted control right from the start and signalled their intent with an early breakthrough in the third minute. Raj capitalised on an attacking move and finished confidently to hand his side the lead. Minerva doubled their advantage in the sixth minute with the help of Lumkin’s free-kick.

Just before the lemon break, Frenky put the side ahead by 3-0 in the 42nd minute. However, Corbett FC responded by reducing the margin to 1-3 before the half-time whistle. The second half of the match remained goalless as Minerva defenders maintained the lead.
