Punjab minister inspects health card registration camps in Patiala district
Appeals people to take maximum advantage of the healthcare facilities being provided by the government
Punjab’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr Balbir Singh, today personally visited and reviewed the on-spot registration process of the Chief Minister Health Scheme cards. During this visit, he inspected registration camps set up in Ghamrouda, Bakshi Wala, Ranjit Nagar, and Babu Singh Colony in Patiala rural and closely observed the ongoing procedures.
Dr Balbir Singh said the main objective of the Chief Minister Health Scheme was to provide better and free healthcare services to every family in the state. He explained that during registration it was being ensured that at least two members of each family were present at the spot and that the family had a mobile phone linked with an Aadhaar card, so that the registration process could be completed smoothly.
While explaining the registration process, the minister said, “First, the beneficiary takes a token slip, after which a self-declaration form is filled. Once the form is completed, volunteers thoroughly verify documents and information. If everything is found to be correct, the registration process is completed.”
Praising volunteers deployed at camps, Dr Balbir Singh said they were performing their duties efficiently. He added that if any beneficiary faces any difficulty during registration, it was being resolved on the spot so that people do not face any inconvenience.
On this occasion, the minister also shared good news for the youth, stating that those with computer knowledge had a golden opportunity to gain employment. He informed that operators, who perform well would also be provided jobs in the future, under the Sehat Mitra Scheme.
Dr Balbir Singh appealed to the public to get health scheme cards made and take maximum advantage of the healthcare facilities being provided by the government.
